About Us

What makes StrongLife Fitness - Riverton & Pleasant Grove different?

Hi, I’m Jill Carlile and I’m the owner of StrongLife Fitness. We are a private gym that specializes in strength training programs, customized nutrition protocols and coaching, weight loss and recovery. We believe the best results happen when training is unique to the individual and there is a personal connection to every fitness and health practice implemented in a coaching program. StrongLife creates a joyful, non-competitive atmosphere where the needs of our clients always come first. Our mission is to inspire and invest in an individual’s journey to optimal self by offering a positive, supportive and safe space for clients to transform their health and body with sustainable practices in strength, nutrition, accountability and connection.

The reason Stronglife came to be is simple, I wanted to create a gym where all the things I needed when I was going through my own strength and weight loss journey in my 40’s existed in one amazing place. So I decided that I could do strength and fitness for women better and took a walk on the wild side to build a gym based on connection, safety, love and sustainable practices. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t alone in it…my younger sister ( who btw still trains for Stronglife everyday) and I began training friends and family in my home garage gym while our kiddos were young and could play together while we trained. From that small start and with a lot of growth and change along the way, our reputation of excellence and real success with our clients grew exponentially allowing us to open our first storefront location in Riverton.

Today, with the help of my incredible wife and business partner, we have two state of the art private gyms that offer elite training and nutrition services with vibrant communities in Riverton and Pleasant Grove Utah. We offer onsite and online strength training and weight loss programs that are customized to our client’s needs and goals. We specialize in training men and women over 40 in a non competitive and positive culture and providing a clean and inspiring space for our clients to build their health and strength. We offer highly specialized private and semi-private strength training programs for clients with unique training needs or adaptation. Our strength programs also include 1:1 Nutrition Coaching, customized Nutrition Protocols and App tracking with our on staff certified nutritionist, InBody scans coupled with Hype Sessions to assess progress and goals, as well as our private gym membership for self directed workouts.

We hope that your experience at Stronglife Fitness will be one of resonance and joy as you commit to practices that will support and change your health and strength in alignment with your fitness goals and the quality of life that you desire both now and in the future.

Dedicated to your Success,

Jill Carlile

Our Stronglife Journey

2001

Jill’s Transformation Begins

Jill embarks on her own strength and weight loss journey — the spark that ignited it all.

2002

Learning the Ropes

She trains alongside passionate bodybuilding friends, learning the science and soul of strength training and fitness in a weightloss journey that transforms her health.

2003

The Idea Takes Shape

Jill earns her first certifications and recruits her sister, Alicia, to join the mission and learn the art of training others and building a community.

2004

The Basement Gym

Training friends and family — basically for free — in an unfinished basement with a barbell, bench, and a few dumbbells…but also a deep respect and passion for teaching strength through weightlifting.

2005–2007

Early Growth & First Transformations

Built a steady client base of 30+ and began witnessing powerful strength and weight loss transformations

2007–2009

Expanding our Home Gym

Converted the garage into a bigger gym, added new equipment, and created a separate cardio space while improving and adding structure to our strength programs.

2010–2012

Team Growth

Serving over 50 clients and bringing on a couple of part-time assistants to help with training.

2013–2014

Big Leap: Our First Commercial Space

Acquired and built out our first official studio in Riverton, UT— learning that I had a LOT to learn. Using all of my resources, love, grit and passion to keep the doors open and build our gym community.

2015–2016

Systems & Strategy

Focused on team development, refining training programs, and building marketing systems to consistently generate new clients. Hired my wife Jules to partner with me in the gym.

2016–2018

Going All-In on Coaching

Launched nutrition coaching and hired our first full-time nutritionist. Rebuilt our website and designed our coaching program. Jill transitioned fully into sales and marketing, Jules took over operations and Alicia became our lead trainer and on-site manager.

2018–2020

Pandemic Pivot

Completely redesigned our training program. Launched online coaching. Held on for dear life. Hired our first Facility Director. Invested in mentorship for business growth.

2021–2023

A Second Home & Fresh Vision

Acquired and built out our second location in Pleasant Grove. Hired a brand-new team and ordered all new equipment. Celebrated the grand opening. Remodeled the Riverton gym with a new ceiling and updated equipment.

2024–2025

Leveling Up Again

Rebuilt all operations and training systems (😣 yes, again!). Hired our second Facility Director. Upgraded and relaunched our nutrition programs (because we’re never done improving). Hired a Social Media Manager. Rolled out a new website and refreshed all marketing materials.
